Hey you,
Happy new month!
I honestly can’t believe that somehow, it’s August already. The year feels like it just began, and yet here we are—eight months in, already.
Is it just me, or does it feel like time is moving very fast, even when you’re standing still?
There’s something about this month that makes me reflect. Maybe it’s because of how close we are to the “end of the year” or maybe it’s the quiet reminder that time won’t wait—but growth still takes its sweet time.
And that’s what I want us to explore this month, the messy, uncertain, and not-so-pretty parts of becoming.
Because the truth is? That’s where most of us are.
We’re not in the “I finally made it” era yet, but we’re somewhere in the middle—the awkward, blurry, figuring-it-out part.
I want you to know that, “Growth isn’t always pretty.”
We talk so much about evolving, becoming, stepping into our best selves. And while that’s beautiful, what about the process? It’s rarely linear or aesthetic. Sometimes growth can look like:
Resting when you thought you should be working really hard
Letting go of what you wanted just last month
Showing up late, unsure, or not at all
Speaking up for yourself for the first time, even if your voice shakes
Making decisions that others don’t understand
It doesn’t always feel inspiring. Sometimes it just feels… weird to you and even to others.
You ask yourself questions like: What am I even doing? Am I actually growing, or am I just wasting my time?
But I’ve learned this: Becoming doesn’t always announce itself. Sometimes it looks like silence. Stillness. Slowness. But it’s still happening.
A quick story:
Recently, I had a moment where I realized I was no longer reacting to some things the way I used to. I didn’t explain myself the way I normally would. I didn’t always rush to fix things like I would normally do. I started doing things that I didn’t think I would do.
And it made me realize how much I have grown. And I have proof that something inside in me had shifted.
You might be in that space too—where you don’t have big wins to post, or you’re still figuring it out, or everything looks the same on the outside. But maybe the real work is happening quietly, within.
So here’s your reminder as August begins:
You don’t need proof to validate your growth.
You’re allowed to be unsure and still be evolving.
Becoming is often boring, blurry, and deeply uncomfortable. That’s normal.
If you’re showing up, even when it’s quiet—that counts.
What about you?
Are you in an in-between season too? A space where things are shifting but not yet making sense?
Hit the reply button and tell me one way you think you’re growing—even if it’s messy, slow, or unclear. I’d really love to hear.
We’re evolving together always!
📌P.S: If this letter made you pause or exhale, forward it to someone who’s in their own becoming season. You never know who needs to hear it.
📌Personal update: I’m preparing to launch a business I’ve been dreaming about for a while now— handmade footwear + bags. It’s been quiet, slow, and sometimes uncertain but it’s still happening. We launch this August 🤍
More details soon. In the meantime, kindly do well to follow us on Instagram and on TikTok. Thanks for being part of my evolution.
